Bopper's Shag Club

Bopper's Shag Club's mission is to celebrate and perpetuate the shag dance and the "beach music" we dance to. The shag dance is the official state dance of both North and South Carolina. We have our regular monthly meeting on the first Saturday of every month at Thoroughbred's "House of Shag" in Charlotte, NC. See you there!

On Saturday, February 27, the Association of Carolina Shag Clubs

named Monica as a "Shag Icon Award Winner" for the year 2010!

Only 5 Shagging Icon Award winners are chosen each year.

Keep in mind this is among the over 100 shag clubs across the nation!

These individuals represent outstanding contributions within their

local club involving their time, talent and effort. This award has

become one of the most highly prized awards a shagger can attain!

We believe Monica was chosen based on her tireless, conscientious

and enthusiastic work as a true ambassador of shag!
